weitersDr. Roto would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. The Doctor is thankful for many things: family, friends, and of course, fantasy sports!

If your question was not answered this time, you can go directly to the source @ https://www.roto-rx.com/ where Dr. Roto will answer all your Fantasy Baseball and Football questions.

The Doctor is in...

Question #1: Would you trade Matt Wieters ($7) for Brian McCann ($10) in a mixed 5x5? - Ralph, Naperville, IL

Ralph: Your question has Dr. Roto's fantasy baseball juices flowing again!!!! Dr. Roto loves Wieters, but thinks he is at least one year away from stardom. McCann should have better numbers for next year but not in 2011. Is it worth trading Wieters's future stardom for an extra 5 HR and 20 RBI?

Question #2: Who is more valuable in fantasy, Miguel Cabrerra or Ryan Howard? Is the difference in BA worth taking Cabrerra? - Seth, Rochester, NY

Seth: This is a close one, but I will take Howard. Howard is better in 4 out of 5 categories, plus he plays on a better team in a better lineup. On second thought, it is not so close. Take Howard.

Question #3: I have both Pablo Sandoval and David Wright and I can trade either for Matt Kemp (the guy will take either one.) Which one should I trade (they are about the same price)? - Mike, Kendall, FL

Mike: Dr. Roto would move Wright. Pablo Sandoval is a hitting machine, who if you are lucky, may be catcher eligible if he can get a few games in for the Giants. Wright is terrific, but his power outage last year is a bit concerning. Sandoval seems to be getting better and better and developing more power too. Getting Kemp and keeping Sandoval would really bring a nice young corp to your team.

Question #4: Do you think Neftali Feliz will have any fantasy impact this year or will he just have a middle relief roll? - Larry, Lancaster, PA

Larry: You act as if those things are separate from each other. Dr. Roto loves setup men as they get a few wins, some saves, and put up terrific numbers. If Feliz throws 100 innings next year and gets 6 wins, 8 saves, and 112 K's with a 3.00 ERA you don't think that would help your team? It would sure help mine!

Question #5: Do you feel that Josh Hamilton will be healthy both physically and mentally this year and put up quality numbers? Is he worth protecting at $19? - Anna, Mesa, AZ

Anna: Hard to predict on Hamilton right now. He is recovering from a back ailment and did not have a great follow up season to his breakout. If I am going to spend $19, Anna, I want to do it on a guy that I can count on. Right now, until seeing him in spring training, Dr. Roto doesn't feel comfortable counting on Hamilton just now. Let's re-evaluate in a few months.
