Here at Around the Horn Baseball, we try to present different perspectives in an effort to best represent the interests of our reader community. We feel the best way to do that is to have writers from diverse backgrounds.

On this site you will find poignant commentary from experts in their fields, fans looking at things from their point of view, and professional journalists providing news, introspective, insight & opinion from around MLB & MiLB.

You can expect our pundits to provide serious in depth baseball content, fantasy baseball player news and recommendations, and hard hitting derisive commentary on topics that arise surrounding the game of baseball today and the participants and characters involved. We also cover the lighter site of the game. So when a player, coach, GM or owner blunders, you can be sure we will be there to pounce on them.

• Gregory Shapiro - Greg is an orthopedic surgeon that has a number of professional athletes including MLB & NFL players as patients. He's an avid MLB & NFL fan and fantasy participant with some unique insight into the world of professional athletes.
• Peter Costa (a.k.a. Roto Loser) - Pete is a serious Rotisserie participant playing the same league with the same guys for 18 years. Not only has Peter never finished in the money; he's now finished last 14 times and no higher than 10th (in a league with 14 guys). Join us in following Peter's trials, tribulations and frustrations, as he attempts to navigate his way out of the basement again in 2010.
• Brian James - Brian is an independent sports journalist covering major professional sports for over 25 years.
• Michael Klopman - Michael, a Penn State Graduate writes for Xtra Point Football, Around the Horn Baseball, and works on the sports page at the Huffington Post.
• David Fry - David is an independent sports photographer currently covering MLB and the NFL. David will be reporting on observations as he sees them in stadiums throughout the year.
• Robert Fairchild - Robert is a professional sports gaming professional. He legally wages on professional and collegiate sporting events for a living. Robert is NOT suggesting that you quit your day job and try to wager on sports for a living. He is contributing his thoughts and experience to assist you in a recreational activity that you as an informed adult may choose to take part in.
• Paul Leume - Paul is a MLB columnist from Montreal, Canada. Paul, a one-time beat writer covering the Montreal Expos for the Montreal Gazette is a proud grandfather of 3 girls and now spends his time offering his thoughts and prospective on Major League Baseball on a variety of blogs and websites throughout Al Gore's internet.
• James Morrison - Jim (no relation to the dead Door's guy) is a self proclaimed baseball rotisserie expert. Jim has been participating in an serious Ultra-Rotisserie league ($2,600 per team instead of $260) for the past 19 years and has finished in the money 15 times with 9 First place finishes and over $310,000 in total winnings over the 18 year period. While the world is full of institutions and people that come with disclaimers on how past performance is no guarantee of future results, Jim is brazen enough to claim that it will be in your best interest to follow his advice going forward. He'll write it, we'll publish it and we shall see.........
• Josh Bolan - Josh is a retired AP baseball reporter and now works as a freelance writer in Fresno California. Josh has been contributing to baseball publications as a writer since 1996.
• Adam Foster - Adam is a freelance sports writer contributing to various online and print publications for over 12 years.
• Michael Gross - Michael, in conjunction with a prominent sports agency runs a strength, conditioning and agility program that many agents send their "to-be-drafted" athletes, prior to being drafted. Many pro athletes have also used the facilities for rehabilitation after injury. Over 120 professional athletes including current MLB and NFL ball players have attended his institution during the past 4 years.
• Walter Stanley - Walter is a Red Sox season ticket holder for 24 years and a self proclaimed ‘expert' on Red Sox baseball.
• Michael Cruise - Mike's family has had SF Giants season tickets since 1958, the Giants inaugural season in San Francisco. Mike is "the biggest SF Giants fan in the nation"
• Mark Bloom (aka Dr. Roto) - Mark has been an active competitor and commissioner in baseball and football fantasy leagues for over 20 years winning numerous league titles. Dr. Roto has provided guidance and advice to thousands of fantasy baseball and football participants over the years answering their questions. • David Martin - David Martin is a life-long Denver Colorado resident, an avid baseball fan and a Colorado Rockies fanatic. David operates www.rockiesreview.com that is syndicated by InDenverTimes.com, a spin-off site formed by members of the Rocky Mountain News after the 150 year old news paper closed its doors on February 27, 2009.
• Bob Bearden - Bob is a regular guest contributor on sports talk radio in the Southeastern United States. Bob's views and opinions on professional and college sporting events can now be found right here on the MC3 Sports Media's family of websites.
• Hank Koebler, IV - Hank is a sports journalist attending the University of Missouri's school of journalism.
• Eric Marmon - Eric Marmon is a freelance writer from Philadelphia. He graduated from Hofstra University, is a retired Whaler, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
