The Doctor is in...

Question #1: Who is the single "must have" prospect to get that did not finish last year on an MLB roster? - Mark, Stanford University

Mark: Dr. Roto thinks you should take a long look at Jason Heyward (Atl-OF). He is only 20 years old, but has already proven that he is too good for the minors. When he comes up, he won't only stick, he will be an all-star within a few years.

Question #2: You keep saying that Garrett Atkins is "done."  To what do you owe his down fall?  It wasn't a Coors Field thing.... Do you think he was on steroids? - Alex, Oceanside, NY

Alex: Can't say for sure about the steroids, but Atkins did go from stud to mediocre in a very short time. When Dr. Roto says "Done", he is not saying useless. Atlkins has use on a roto team. "Done" signifies that the days of him being an impact roto player are over.

Question #3: Why does it seem that the Red Sox are looking to trade Clay Buchholz?  I thought he was a stud? - Michael, Natick, MA

Michael: The Red Sox don't want to trade Buchholz. They love his makeup and his arm. However, the Sox still need offense and the only way to get some is to move one of their pitchers. No way is Daniel Bard moving. So the choices are Buchholz or Casey Kelly. Theo Epstein will try to move Kelly first, but AGone is going to cost them big.

Question #4: What are your expectations for Johan Santana after having has surgery? - Greg, Macon, GA

Greg: Santana had a few fragments removed from his elbow. Kinda like an elbow lube job if you will. He should be back to form sooner rather than later. Look for 14 wins, 3.25 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 200K (assuming he pitches 200 innings)

Question #5: Who will hit leadoff: Figgins or Ichiro and will the other guys SB numbers suffer? - Robert, San Diego, CA

Robert: Look for Ichiro to leadoff and for Figgins to bat 2nd. I expect them to both cause a great of havoc on the basepaths with 40 steals being a safe number to expect for each of them.
