In our continuing effort this offseason to bring you the best of MLB in 2009, today we flashback to the day before the 2009 MLB All-Star game. As it would happen, Prince Fielder would win two awards that night. He not only won the 2009 Home Run hitting contest, but perhaps more impressively, he won a highly contested donut eating contest as well.

FLASHBACK - Prince Fielder Wins Another Award
It is being reported that prior to winning the HR hitting contest on Tuesday night Prince Fielder went to dinner with Takeru Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut where he was challenged to a donut eating contest. Fielder ate 73 donuts in 12 minutes beating Kobayashi and Chestnut by 4 and 3 respectively.
Belly-full-of donuts, Fielder then proceeded to win the MLB All-Star 2009 HR hitting contest. When asked what the key to his success was in his first HR hitting contest Fielder said,
"I was lucky enough to have a long layoff between rounds. I went into the clubhouse, had a few more donuts and that gave me enough energy to prevail."
Simply amazing.
