greinkeaboveLast night I turned on my Twitter feed just as Matt Garza completed his no hitter. To my amazement, it was more entertaining than anything I could find on TV. Here's a 15 minute pull from my feed right after the no-n owith some initial thoughts as they came up. Some pretty funny stuff. Some interesting facts and info as well....
  • OGOchoCinco @terrellowens Batman, dont go in that cave, the Joker is in there, watch it!!!!!!! POW CRUNCH SMASH BOOM, see you in a few days boss!

That's Chad 85's way of telling us that T.O. is going to the Bengals.

  • jaysonst Back to that Rays-never-threw-a-no-hitter thread: Nope, Jae Seo never threw one. . . Nope, Casey Fossum never did. . . Not even Esteban Yan!

Now those are some names that haven't crossed my mind in a while.....

  • dianagram You know what this game could use .... more cowbell!

More Cowbell! That was the funniest Saturday Night Live ever!

  • FavreDollars No Hitter Garza! This is the year of the No Hitters. It's ridiculous. The balls have to be super unjuiced or something

It does seem a bit abby normal.....

  • Enrique_Rojas1 Matt Garza, quien tiene ascedencia mexicana, lanza el primer No-Hitter en historia de los Rays.

I think he said that was the first No-Hitter in Rays history.

  • JerryRemysGrill Come into Jerry Remy's tonight to watch the Red Sox game and have a drink ON US!! Just mention this FB Post to your server or bartender!

I'm about a 5 hour drive from Boston, but I actually though about taking Jerry up on his offer!

  • JeffPassan Combined attendance of the three no-hitters and two perfect games this season: around 106,000. Ten times that will claim they witnessed one.

I was at famous event once, but if I tell you, you won't believe me. So I'll keep it to myself.

  • jaysonst Here's the bad news for Matt Garza: Dallas Braden, Roy Halladay and & Edwin Jackson are a combined 5-13 since their no-hitters. Jinx!

Take out Halladay and the other imposters are 1-12!

  • BrewersBar Edmonds joining Weeks among those with insane hot streaks right now. Holy freaking crap.

I agree, Edmonds is on a tear, Holy freakin crap.

  • DiamondHoggers Here comes your Jay Bruce shit the bed at bat.
  • DiamondHoggers I mean Jay Bruce sucks. Absolutely blows. I keep waiting on him to do something. It never happens.

I guess Bruce didn't get a hit.......

  • bigleaguestew Now that I'm home, it's time to check my Twitter feed to see how many Mets fans have complained about not having a no-no.

That's kinda why I signed on.......

  • darrenrovell1 With each no hitter, all the ones before it become a little less valuable in the memorabilia world. Each guy makes less
  • darrenrovell1 Armando Galarraga's "Almost Perfect" signed baseballs now selling for $110

That guy will be more famous for being screwed that he would have been for being perfect. He can follow Bobby Thompson and Ralph Branca around the country's and start the baseball signing tour with Jim Joyce as soon as the season ends.

  • MLB Minnesota 17-0 over Kansas City so far, w/o Brett Favre | Mauer 5-for-5 with 7 RBIs, one of top 2010 performances

Minnesota 17-0 over Kansas City, damn, I should have taken the points!

  • SI_JonHeyman #giants have been heavily scouting jose guillen. Wouldn't cost much in terms of prospects.
  • SI_JonHeyman #royals peddling guillen hard. If #giants can't swing hart, bautista, they may consider

Guillen would be PERFECT for the Giants

joe_sheehan Wednesday: "Cool, the Yanks miss Greinke." Monday: "It's not fair that the Yanks missed Greinke!"

God my fantasy pitching staff has gone to shit.

  • MLB Jason Repko skies to rob @BillyButlerKC at the wall #Twins#Royals

That may be the best shadow pic I've ever seen

shaddow

  • jimmiekaska Bob Uecker is the best trade deadline acquisition ever for the #Brewers. #FearTheUke

Ha ha ha...

  • bigleaguestew And the Royals head into the bottom of the ninth, needing only 19 to tie!

What did you expect? They just walked into the clubhouse and told the team that they all might be traded before the week is over.

  • onlygators So Maurice Clarrett leaves school to fail at forcing his way into the NFL...then goes to jail...and is now back at OSU taking classes...

Now that is funny.....

  • MLB Matt Garza is the No. 1 Trending Topic in the world.

And number two is this....... CNN Transplant recipient debuts new face. http://on.cnn.com/9L3VcK HOLLY CRAP! HE'S F'UGLY!

  • Ken_Rosenthal Source: Royals getting bombarded with sudden interest in Podsednik from NL West contenders. Would fit for #Giants, #Padres, #Dodgers.

He is having a great year. It's amazing how many decent individual players the Royals had on their roster this year and that everyone wants them, yet they can't win. Callapso was just traded to the Angels, teams want Greinke, Butler, Guillen, Podsednick, Soria.....

  • Sean_McAdam That sound you just heard was Angels' GM Tony Reagins losing his dinner. Newly acquired Dan Haren leaves game after being hit on forearm.harenhurt
Now that's bad luck.....
  • JoeFrisaro #Marlins Stanton belts No. 8. Very far to left
